Incredible Assumptions of Modern Management: Excerpt 2:

"Look At Me "

[The seminar hall is empty––except for RONE and FEMALE STUDENT #2]

RONE: Look at me. I want you to say, “My body is a burden to me.”

FEMALE STUDENT #2: Okay.

RONE: It has to make you tired, walking around with it. On the street. Your “clothes” and your “outfit.” It’s holding your body. Maybe I can hold it for you.

FEMALE STUDENT #2: Yes.

RONE: I would like to relieve you of your great burden.

FEMALE STUDENT #2: I would like to give my body to the trash men.

RONE: That’s OK to feel that.

FEMALE STUDENT #2: Are you the trash men?

RONE: I am the trash men.

FEMALE STUDENT #2: Take this, and hold it.

RONE: I am––I hope I’m not moving too fast––but I want to be serious with you now when I say that I’m going to treat you roughly. And I’m going to take your body “in my hands” now.

FEMALE STUDENT #2: Yes. And we should lay in mud.

RONE: Yes, I agree.
