Want to edit The New Anonymous?

Because The New Anonymous hopes to be guided not by the identities of its editors or writers but rather by a shared dedication to publishing writing that speaks for itself, the magazine’s editorial staff changes from issue to issue.

If you would like to be considered as a possible addition to the editorial staff, please take the following steps:

  1. All editorial inquiries should be e-mailed directly to The Mediator. It is The Mediator’s responsibility to protect the identity of the editor throughout the editorial and publication process and thereafter.
  2. Attach a single word file (.doc format) that explains your interest in editing The New Anonymous and/or your view of the magazine’s mission (300 words or less).
  3. In the body of your e-mail, please include only one thing: your contact info. Do not include a bio.
  4. In the subject of your e-mail, please write: “Editor Inquiry.”

As far as duties go, editors will receive anonymous submissions from The Mediator in their preferred genre (editors may read in more than one genre) and will be asked to respond within one month. Editors may also be asked to solicit magazine submissions or give input on final approval of pieces to be included in the magazine.

As with the submission process, all editorial queries and conversations are conducted via The Mediator. Unlike the submissions, however, all editorial staff decisions (i.e., who will be on the editorial staff) are made by The Mediator.

As with the literary submissions, pseudonymous e-mails and identities are welcomed.

Your query will be considered solely by The Mediator:
